Keyword in Title Tag

Keyword in links

Keyword in Alt Tags
Keyword prominence indicates that the keyword should be close to the beginning in each page area (title and other Meta tags, headings, and paragraphs).
Keyword density indicates the percentage of keywords to the number of text on a page.
Keyword frequency is the number of times the keyword appears on a page.
Use Keywords as Anchor text of internal links
Negative Factors:
Too much keyword repetition i.e.) Keyword Stuffing
Invisible Content via text same color as background or CSS or other such methods
Doorway pages. Pages that are specifically written for search engines.
Duplicate Content: watch out for those duplicate filters. Make sure your site doesn't have content from other sites or no one else has copied you.
Cloaking: Showing a page to search engines different than what the users see based on their IP address
